Over the past week, the Walt Disney World theme parks have re-opened to the public, complete with new safety policies and procedures. (You can view the updated policies here.) Middle of the Magic Travel, your agency truly located in Mickey’s backyard, had agents in all 4 of the theme parks this week, giving us a first-hand view. Here are some of the best pictures of the week:

Magic Kingdom

Epcot

Hollywood Studios

Animal Kingdom

Several things were noted throughout the parks:

  • Characters were seen in all 4 theme parks. They are either moving, such as in a car or on a boat, or on a platform like a balcony. You can see them, and take pictures in front of them, but there are no hugs or autographs. This also applies to character meals.
  • Relaxation Stations are available in all 4 theme parks. These are designated zones with appropriately-spaced tables and chairs, where you can stop, relax and take off your mask. There are both indoor and outdoor options in all 4 theme parks.
  • The crowd levels were the lowest seen in a long time! Similar to what you may find at an After Hours event, many rides had 10 or 15 minute waits, and some were even walk ons. Even Avatar: Flight of Passage had only a 10 minute wait today. And a lot of the posted wait times seem to say longer than the actual wait time. For example, today at Hollywood Studios, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has a wait time of 60 minutes posted, but our agent Bridget said they were off the ride in 30 minutes.

While some things may look and feel different, the same magic is definitely there, and waiting for you! And we are here to take all the stress and guesswork out of planning your visit. Whenever you are ready to travel, we am ready to help you plan!
