Alarm starts ringing at 6:00 am. Mom hops in the shower to get ready for the day. Then it’s Dad’s turn. Kids are still sleeping- good. 6:40 am, time to walk outside. Grab the phone, Magic Band, and a mask. Take a walk to the best location where Mom has the best cell service. Get off the resort WIFI and clear all other apps. Pull up the My Disney Experience app around 6:55 am. Find the Join the Rise of the Resistance Boarding group section. Then at the stroke of 6:58, Mom refreshes her screen and as soon as the “join” button appears, clicking furiously, not looking back! The pressure for your Star Wars-loving family is on the line! And thank goodness, Mom gets boarding group 25! Whew. Now time to get back to the room to pack up for the day.

While in line for the Skyliner to rope drop Hollywood Studios, the family decides they want Woody’s Lunchbox for lunch today. Mom hops again on the app, because Woody’s Lunchbox is only allowing for Mobile orders at this time. She chooses a time around when they think they will want to eat, this can be modified later if needed. She takes everyone’s order and adds a Lunchbox tart or two as a surprise. The family has a credit card attached to their account and Mom completes the order. She doesn’t click “I’m Here, Prepare my Order.” When their window opens up and they are ready to eat, Mom or Dad will click on the order, and then their food will be prepared fresh.

Now on to Hollywood Studios. The family runs to Slinky Dog Dash. After riding, Mom wants pictures in front of the Toy Story Land sign. They find the Photopass photographer and grab some awesome shots. Then the family hops over to Toy Story Mania. While in line, everyone looks at the fun photos on the app. After Dad beats everyone, they hop on to the app to see the wait times as the park has opened now. They see that Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad is only 25 mins. Time to head over there.

While in line, the kids are getting restless. Mom hops on her phone and finds the Play Disney Parks App and the kids play some trivia to pass the time. Right after the family gets off the attraction, Mom’s phone pings, TIME FOR RISE OF THE RESISTANCE. While in this que, the kids help find Finn and translate some of the languages in the Play Disney Parks app. Now time to take on the First Order. Lots of pictures taken and fun had.

While everyone is taking a potty break, Mom hops on the app again, and finds a last minute Oga’s Cantina reservation later in the day, and she scoops it up. Dad is thrilled. But for now, it is time for lunch at Woody’s. While in the app, Mom clicks on “I’m Here. Prepare my Order” as they walk to the location. As soon as they get there, the phone pings and lunch is ready. While eating, everyone looks at the app for the wait times to decide where to go next. Everyone decides it is time for Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollercoaster.

All day long, the family brings up the app to find the shortest wait times for attractions. Then at their reservation for Oga’s, they do online check in and have a great appetizer and a few drinks. For dinner, Mom mobile orders at the ABC Commissary while Dad takes the kids on Star Tours. The MDE app has been their lifeline for food and rides all day long. They can see all the fun photos from the day and download them. The next day will be more of the same at Magic Kingdom.

Agent Tip: Familiarize yourself with this app and Mobile Order ahead of time!
